The VJC Interact Club was formed in 1984, the same year the college was founded. Today, with over 100 members, it is one of the biggest clubs in VJC.
The basic aim of the Interact Club is to provide aid to the less fortunate members of our society. With the support of the Rotary Club, Interact Clubs throughout the world have been continuously supporting charitable organizations around the world and providing aid to those who need it.
The VJC Interact Club today consists of 5 different homegroups where 4 homegroups involve mentoring primary and secondary school pupils while 1 homegroup involves caring for the elderly. Homegroup activites are carried out on a weekly basis and at least 80% of attendance must be fulfilled.
Apart from its annual March camp for its JC1 members, the VJC Interact Club carries out at least one community service project and one International Understanding Project yearly.
As a whole, the VJC Interact Club is a club full of interesting activities as we have fun while we help others without any regard for CIP hours. Helping others also allows us to train our leadership skills and develop character. As the Interact Club motto goes: Touching hearts, Bringing smiles
