However as the role of motivator is very crucial, it will be on a voluntary basis, especially for the J2 who need to study for prelim...This is a very meaningful project that gathers 20 k youths together to do something significant and great, thus one can feel the common passion and the heart to serve the community, yah..So the motivators are expected to be enthusiastic, responsible.
As we are dividing the route into 20 Blocks, 1 km will have a block IC, 4 motivators, 2 logistics volunteers and 1 assistant block Ic.1 motivator will be in charge of 250 students, under them there are 10 student leaders to assist them.
Motivators will basically motivate, talk to the kids, ra ra them to keep them hyper for the event. Their job is also to facilitate the students to move them from their gathering points to the route, to be the contact point between the headquarter to participants. That means that the Motivators need to pass down the chain of command efficiently to ensure that the students will hole hand and recite the national pledge together.
Thus there will be trainings required to keep the motivators prepared for their role, to help them handle people on the ground, and bond together with other motivators.Besides, as the participants are mainly students, Motivators will be allocated to the schools within their Km to give one or two assembly talks to the students to get to know them and motivate them as well, explain to them the meaning and significance of this events. As Motivators will be working closely in teams, and leading people, they also need to know the hierarchy of command ( this is included in our manual when members come for trainings) and bond with their teams.
